Earlier this month, I revealed how the Wisconsin Health Information Organization (WHIO) was putting its data to use to provide actionable information to the State of Wisconsin Department of Health Services, Division of Medicaid Services in the face of the coronavirus pandemic through the COVID-19 High-Risk Member report. Since then, the WHIO has provided a COVID-19 High-Risk Member report to six additional Wisconsin insurance companies to facilitate their outreach to high-risk members.

Today, I am sharing the attached communication titled InfoByte: Benchmarking the Impact of Coronavirus. This communication provides insights into the underlying conditions that place Wisconsinites at high-risk for a serious episode of COVID-19, as well as historical trends for respiratory and ventilator usage as a baseline from which changes can be identified as Wisconsin transitions through the coronavirus pandemic.

If you have an idea of how the WHIO information can be used to understand the impact of COVID-19 in Wisconsin, please let me know.

You may contact me directly at Dana.Richardson@whio.org for more information on the WHIO.

Please be safe and stay healthy.
