The Wisconsin Health Information Organization (WHIO) is pleased to share the InfoByte: Availability of Obstetric Services that provides information on the location and distribution of obstetric services across Wisconsin. Understanding Wisconsin’s existing birth system of care is necessary to determine where additional resources would provide the greatest positive impact on birth outcomes.
The data for this InfoByte was sourced from HealthSCAPE, a new WHIO data file that provides characteristics such as detailed demographics, service lines offered and certifications on Wisconsin’s 175 acute care, rehab and behavioral health hospitals. HealthSCAPE can be used alone or with other WHIO data.
