The Wisconsin Department of Health Services Healthcare-Associated Infections (HAI) Prevention Program partnered with Delta Dental of Wisconsin, BSG Analytics, and the Wisconsin Health Information Organization to create the first statewide dental antibiotic use report, titled “Trends in Dental Antibiotic Prescribing in Wisconsin 2018-2021.” This report combines dental and prescription claims data to explore dental visits associated with antibiotics overall, by time, antibiotic type, procedure type, dental specialty, and patient characteristics. This report will be updated annually.
